Who hasn’t driven into Ishpeming from the west in the dead of winter and seen the massive rock piles from the iron mines looming in the distance and wondered… has it been skied? At over 2000’ feet, the piles form the highest peak in Michigan. No idea if the’ve been skied… but I’m sure I’m not the first to wonder if they have.
