The 500+ acre nature sanctuary located near Copper Harbor is home to one of the last stands of old-growth white pine trees in Michigan. A pair of trails meander through the forest, giving visitors opportunity to view the over 125’ tall trees, spot wildlife and wildflowers and get a sense of what the Keweenaw was like before the landscape was forever changed by the copper boom.
